Although not expected, it is appreciated when the happy couple feeds its vendors (photographers, videographers, wedding planners, DJ, etc.) at their reception. The majority of wedding vendors will have a request for a meal built into their contracts; however, in cases where a meal request isn’t specified by the wedding vendor, please don’t forget to feed the DJ 🙂

Vendors spend a lot of time on-site without breaks. In regards to DJs, if the DJ is providing their services for a ceremony (starting at 4pm) and reception (starting at 6pm), the DJ will generally be on-site setting up about 2 hours prior to the beginning of your ceremony (for a basic set-up), and will be working straight through to the end of the night with no breaks. If your reception runs until 1am, that would mean your DJ would be working on-site for at least 11 hours straight (not including travel time).
