Every year, I am approached by engaged couples with the same question…
“Do you have any recommendations for songs we can use at our ceremony? Something that is unique!”
“Of course I do!”
In general, when choosing your music for your ceremony, it is ideal that each song has a meaning to you and your hubby-to-be. You may want to also consider choosing the music, or at least the genre of music, that would be played 30 minutes prior to you walking down the aisle (as your guests arrive) as it will help set the overall mood. Here are some of my favourites!
Landon Pigg – Falling In Love At A Coffee Shop
This is great for the the groom, family, ring bearers, wedding party to walk down the aisle!
Death Cab for Cutie – I Will Follow You Into The Dark
Another great song for the groom, wedding party, and family to walk down the aisle to!
Ingrid Michaelson – You & I
In response to the Landon Pigg track, this would be great for the song for the bride to walk down the aisle.
Lucky- Jason Mraz ft. Colbie Caillat
Another great track for the bride’s processional!
In the end, make sure you consult with the DJ who is providing the music at your ceremony. They should have numerous suggestions for you. If they don’t… you may want to consider hiring another DJ 😉
